Routine Home Care
Routine Care is the most common level of hospice care. Routine Care patients have chosen to receive hospice care at their choice of residence (private residence, assisted living facility, or nursing facility).
Continuous Care
Continuous care is provided only during periods of crisis to manage pain and other medical symptoms. It is given for 8+ hours within a 24-hour period predominantly by an RN, LPN, or LVN.

General Inpatient Care
General Inpatient Care is provided for pain/symptom management that cannot be provided outside of hospice care. This service can be provided in a hospice inpatient facility, or other facilities with registered nursing available 24 hours daily to provide direct patient care.
Respite Care
Respite Care provides temporary relief to the patient’s primary caregiver. It is provided for a maximum of 5 consecutive days in a hospital, hospice facility, or long-term care facility.
